How this landmark project transforms the region — and why Partridge Homes will play a vital role in supporting the workforce, families, players and professionals moving here.

A Historic Reveal for Birmingham City FC

At 3pm today, Birmingham City FC officially unveiled the first images and details of their brand-new state-of-the-art stadium — a moment that marks one of the biggest developments in the club’s modern history.

The proposed new home of the Blues will feature:

  • A 62,000-seat capacity

  • Bold, architectural chimney-style towers honouring the city’s industrial past

  • Retractable roof and moveable pitch technology

  • A central position within a transformative Sports Quarter development

  • A design focused on atmosphere, steep stands and world-class facilities

  • A long-term completion target of around 2030

For Birmingham City FC, this isn’t just a stadium.
It’s a statement of ambition, a declaration of intent, and a promise to supporters, the city, and future generations.

A Catalyst for East Birmingham: Regeneration, Jobs and Modernisation

The new stadium will sit at the heart of a multi-billion-pound regeneration project in East Birmingham — historically one of the most overlooked and underserved areas of the city.

This development will:

  • Create thousands of jobs across construction, design, engineering, hospitality and operations

  • Inject new businesses, new infrastructure and new opportunities into the community

  • Improve transport routes, public realm and investment appeal

  • Open the doors to new residents, contractors and professionals relocating to the area

  • Reinvent East Birmingham as an international sporting destination

As people begin moving to Birmingham to work on the project — planners, architects, contractors, engineers, commercial teams and global talent — demand for high-quality rental accommodation will surge.

And that’s where we come in.

Our relationship with the club runs deep.
Our knowledge of the city is unmatched.

Partridge Homes is ready to support you.

What the New Stadium Means for Birmingham’s Property Market

This project is expected to have a huge impact on the local property landscape:

1. Rising rental demand

Contractors, designers, construction teams, hospitality professionals, commercial teams and support staff will all require local accommodation — both short-term and long-term.

2. Boost to East Birmingham property values

Well-planned regeneration naturally increases demand, desirability and investment opportunities.

3. Greater attraction for high-profile relocations

Footballers, athletes, creatives and corporate teams will be drawn to Birmingham’s growing reputation as a sporting powerhouse.

4. Surge in new businesses

More businesses = more staff = more housing demand.

5. A long-term ripple effect across the wider West Midlands

Solihull, Shirley, Yardley, Sheldon, and surrounding areas will become even more appealing to professionals and families connected to the development.

Q&A With Paul Partridge –  Partridge Homes

“A personal moment for me — from a five-year-old fan to helping shape the club’s new era.”

Q1. Paul, what does the new Birmingham City stadium mean to you personally?

From the moment I started supporting the club at five years old, Birmingham City has been a massive part of my life. I’ve watched the club grow, rebuild, struggle, rise and now — finally — enter one of the most exciting chapters in its history.
Seeing these stadium plans revealed today isn’t just a business moment for me. It’s emotional.
It’s a moment that every Blues fan has dreamed of.

Q2. Partridge Homes has become closely linked to the club. Tell us about your role in 2025.

This year, we were trusted to relocate all 13 of the club’s first-team signings.
Every player, every move, every deadline — handled by us.
To be involved at this level with the club I’ve supported my entire life is something I’ll always be proud of.
We understand the pressures, privacy, schedules and standards needed for elite athletes, and we delivered a perfect record.

Q3. How will Partridge Homes support people moving to Birmingham for this new project?

This development will bring thousands of people into the area — from contractors to executives.
We are already preparing accommodation pipelines, landlord partnerships and tailored relocation packages to support:

  • Construction workers

  • Corporate teams

  • Stadium staff

  • Sports personnel

  • Families relocating for long-term work
We specialise in making moves smooth, secure and high-quality.

Q4. Why should landlords partner with you ahead of this project?

Because this project will reshape demand.
Landlords working with us will gain access to:

  • Premium tenants

  • Contractors on long agreements

  • Corporate relocation clients

  • High-value sports and entertainment tenants

  • Marketing exposure that no other agent in the area can offer

We’re not just a letting agent. We are the leading property partner supporting Birmingham’s next decade of growth.

Q5. What excites you most about the future?

The thought of seeing families, professionals and players walk into a brand-new super-stadium — knowing we played a part in housing so many of the people who built it, worked on it or now play for it.
That, for me, is special.
