Partridge Homes were proud to manage the relocation of professional footballer Michaela Kovacs as she joined Birmingham City Women in January 2026.

Michaela is an accomplished American centre-back and defensive midfielder who brings leadership, international experience and elite-level European football know-how to the Blues. Her move to Birmingham represents another exciting chapter in her career — and our priority was to ensure a seamless transition off the pitch so she could focus fully on her football.

Relocation Excellence for Elite Athletes

Relocating professional footballers is about more than handing over keys — it’s about precision, communication and preparation.

For Michaela, this included:

• Sourcing premium, secure accommodation suited to her lifestyle
• Coordinating tenancy contracts with attention to detail
• Liaising directly with club representatives to meet strict timing requirements
• Providing ongoing support during arrival and settling-in

Our Sports & Entertainment relocation division has developed trusted systems over many years working with elite athletes in the West Midlands. Those systems ensure that every relocation — whether domestic or international — is handled with care, professionalism and efficiency.

Q & A With Paul Partridge

Head of Sports & Entertainment Relocation

Q: What makes relocating a player like Michaela different from a typical move?
It’s the level of expectation and timing. Professional footballers have extremely tight schedules — training, travel, medicals, team integration. There is no flexibility for delays or uncertainty. My role is to ensure everything is ready in advance so the player arrives settled, secure and confident.

Q: How do you support players beyond just finding accommodation?
We work to create a support structure. That means practical guidance on local services, understanding neighbourhoods, helping with utility setups, and ensuring the player knows they have a point of contact if they need anything. It’s about creating a sense of belonging, not just a place to live.

Q: Why are agencies like yours important for women’s football?
Women’s football is progressing fast — standards on the pitch are matched by rising expectations off it. Players deserve the same professional relocation support that has always existed in the men’s game. It’s about equality of service, opportunity and respect.

Supporting Player Welfare and Performance

A well-managed relocation improves a player’s welfare — and that can directly influence performance. When a player is confident that their home, contracts and logistics are taken care of, they can focus entirely on training, team integration and match preparation.

That is the standard that Partridge Homes delivers.

Landlords — Premium Demand in the West Midlands

Demand from elite athletes — across men’s and women’s professional football — continues to rise in Birmingham and Solihull.

We are actively seeking:

• High-quality apartments and homes
• Secure, gated properties with premium finishes
• Landlords able to work with professional timetables

If you own property suited to professional athletes, we’d love to hear from you.
